The sky is blue, the sea is calm Seabirds scavenge shellfish on the shore A beautiful beach to roam, A comfy house to call home How could I want for more? 50 years of marriage Loving sons and daughter-in-laws Gorgeous grandkids to love Lifelong friends with shared memories Oranges and lemons on the trees Food in the pantry Fresh vegetables in the garden Fish in the sea. Self determination means accepting my faults For without them how could I appreciate my strengths And have the freedom to live out my dreams, To be the person I am meant to be. This is the true abundance of my life. Rich indeed am I.
